Thunderbird setup IMAP
- Open Mozilla Thunderbird on your computer.
- Click on the “File” menu in the top left corner of the window and select “New” and then “Existing Mail Account.”
- In the “Mail Account Setup” window that appears, enter your name, email address, and password in the appropriate fields.
- Click on the “Manual config” button to manually configure the account.
- Select “IMAP” as the type of incoming server.
- Enter the following settings:
- Incoming server: mail.yourdomain.com (replace “yourdomain.com” with your actual domain name)
- Port: 993
- SSL: SSL/TLS
- Authentication: Normal password
- Enter the following settings for the outgoing server:
- Outgoing server: mail.yourdomain.com (replace “yourdomain.com” with your actual domain name)
- Port: 587
- SSL: STARTTLS
- Authentication: Normal password
- Click on the “Re-test” button to test the settings.
- If the test is successful, click on the “Done” button to complete the setup.
Once you have completed the setup, Thunderbird will begin downloading your emails from the IMAP server. You can then use Thunderbird to send and receive emails using your IMAP account.
